This past weekend was a huge milestone on the Baby Molloy adoption journey. We had the privilege of driving down to Florida to meet our birth mom and her family. I can't lie...I (Leah) was so nervous. I didn't know what to expect and wanted everything to go as perfectly as possible. Well, it was beyond perfect. Friday we met our birthmom for dinner, along with her grandmother and agency caseworkers. All my fears disappeared immediately. God help our hands upon us the entire time and allowed the visit to be comfortable. Our birthmom is so sweet, funny, and an absolute doll. She was so excited to share the ultrasound pictures with us and even let us keep them. He is beautiful!!! The visit went so well that we made plans to spend more time together the following day. We met her family the next day and they loved us. The continued to tell us how blessed they were knowing that this sweet little boy would be taken care of and going to a loving home. They made us feel so good. In all, we left the trip feeling so incredibly blessed and fortunate to meet such a selfless young girl and family. We are looking forward to continuing to keep in touch through frequents texts and phone calls. In just a few short months, our lives are going to change in such an amazing way and we can't wait.
