Dear Family and Friends,
It’s exciting to watch the
progress of our fundraising, I hope
you’re keeping score. We are a little over halfway to our goal to cover our adoption expenses with exactly two months
until our baby boy arrives. I admit to getting a little anxious, but Mike is with me to remind us both that we are
committed to listening to the deepest part of our hearts. That’s where God’s unfailing promises and His
peace reside. And I relax. God offers so much tangible evidence. Families have shared that they included our
journey as part of their Christmas gift giving tradition last month. We have received donations from distant,
long, long ago friends who simply want to send love. Families whose lives have been impacted by
adoption personally have helped us. And
of course, close family and friends are stepping up to help us bring home our
child. What a wow! People we have never met. People we see every day. Welcoming our baby. The real excitement will mount when we put
the puzzle together, piece by piece, name by name. That’s when the real, emotional Leah will
lose it! Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for being that tangible evidence from
the God who quiets our anxious hearts.
